10 Mistakes women make with men..

It is rightly said that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Yet, they share a strong magnetic attraction for each other. As for men, you can’t live with them or without them. Annoying as they may be, nobody can deny the kind of excitement they bring into a woman’s life. You may bump into a prospective guy at a club and numbers are exchanged. A few dates later (which you thought were perfect) he dumps you! Wondering why? Here is a list of 10 mistakes women commonly make with men.

1. Being Too Available

It is important to be there for him; however, being available all the time is a strict no-no. Chances are that he will take you for granted in the long run. You may also come across as a desperate woman trying really hard for him. Men tend to get attracted to girls who are a little challenging to get. Show him that you also have a lot in life besides him.

2. Being Impractical

Many women live in a fairyland, where they assume their man to be their Prince Charming. He’s not going to be the most perfect man in the world and most importantly, he’s not going to be flawless. Everyone has some negative aspects in them, so you need to accept him along with his shortcomings.

3. Being Too Honest Too Soon

Never be too honest very soon. Don’t go about sharing intimate details on the first date itself. You may just bore your date. Getting to know each other should be step by step. It takes time. Besides, men also tend to find women who are not very open about themselves in the initial stages very interesting and with an aura of mystery about them.

4. Being Too Gullible

Trust is important. However, don’t ever trust anyone blindly in the ‘getting-to-know’ stage. It does not mean that you go about showing them you are suspicious. It’s just that you shouldn’t simply believe every word they say. Men tend to flatter women to appear charming. They may also put up a false front to appear more appealing. It is necessary to keep your eyes and ears open in order to catch the fake from the real ones. Girls have a very strong sixth sense. Let that little wiggle in you guide your way.

5. Being A Control Freak
(Being a control freak is a ultimate NO NO!!)

Don’t be so obsessed of taking charge all the time. Be it planning for a date or making reservations, sometimes it is fine to sit back and let the man do the work. It helps to boost their male ego and makes them feel powerful by taking care of you. But if you go about being a control freak and taking total charge of their lives, it may just scare them away.

6. Pretending To Be Someone Else

Never ever pretend. Men hate women who are fake and are afraid to be themselves. Being comfortable in your own skin by itself is a turn on. Always be proud about the person you are and never feel ashamed about yourself. Just be yourself and you will just do fine. At the end of the day even if the relationship doesn’t work, why would you want to be with someone who doesn’t accept you the way you are? In such a case, even if the relationship works, it would take a toll on you pretending to live up to his expectations all the time. It is the best option to let him have a glimpse of the true you at the very beginning.

7. Expecting The Man To Make The First Move

Whoever laid down the rule that the man has to make the first move? Research reveals that men find women who make the first move very appealing. It shows their high level confidence and independence which are two big turn-on’s among women.

8. Being Too Feminine

Men hate women who get angry for small things, always fuss over their weight, makeup and other such sissy topics. They prefer someone they can identify with and feel comfortable around. Show your Grounded sides, be down to earth... Overreacting for everything around you, talking non-stop and most of all whining about absolutely everything will make him feel that he is stuck a total bimbo. If he is among the 99% of men who are looking out for brains over beauty, you are sure to be dumped!

9. Overdressing

When you are going out on a date make it a point to never ever over dress. It is true that men are attracted to women to dress up well; however, they cannot stand a woman with a loud dressing sense. Don’t dress up so much also that you end up looking like a Christmas tree. He may just feel embarrassed to even walk with you. Also keeping your makeup minimalistic is something that you should keep in my. Remember that good clothes and makeup just enhance your beauty and not substitute it. Going over the top would give the message that you are not confident of yourself.

10. Getting Intimate too soon

Intimacy requires to be carried out on a very slow pace. Getting physically intimate too fast may result in the man in getting wrong ideas about you. It is also possible that, you may come across as ‘too available’. Men like women who are hard to get. So take your time and get to know each other before taking a step further.

If you follow all these rules and still don’t manage to get the guy, it’s his loss! Be ready to move on and get that Prince Charming for yourself.

Oh and for the record I can't lie, #7 is my biggest down fall but learn from your mistakes ladies :)

Why do men cheat with not so attracive women??

We have all been on one or both sides of the cheating coin at one point or another in our lives. Whether it is being the one who is doing the cheating on our partners or the one being cheated on. Either way, someone loses and it destroys trust between two people that should have complete trust in each other. It has always been perplexing to men and women alike why, men especially, decide to cheat on their partners with less than attractive women when they have a good looking partner waiting for them with open arms at home. This can actually be explained in a very simple manner.

When a man gets aroused or is in the mood to have sex, they really do not like to have to take the time to challenge themselves with an attractive girl who may or may not want to have sex right then and there in that moment. When it comes to a good looking guy and an unattractive girl, it seems to work out that the girl is most of the time willing to go with the flow of the sexual advances because they themselves do not have that type of opportunity if they actually want it on a regular basis. I know this sounds kind of harsh, but it is the reality of the situation.

So, when men go out looking for someone just to have some casual fun with on the down low, they tend to seek out girls with either low self-esteem or less than stunning looks because they are a more easy and willing target. Either way you look at it, though, cheating is never the right answer. Even if it is to release anxiety or anything like that. Cheating will always cause stress and pain for one or both of the people involved in the situation and there is always a better way of approaching things like that.

How to tell if your woman is cheating..

How To Tell If Your Wife Or Girlfriend Is Cheating On You

In a relationship, there’s nothing worse than that sinking feeling that your partner is cheating on you. All relationships have low spots in them, where people get a little too comfortable with one another or the fire has abated somewhat. This doesn’t necessarily mean someone is going to stray. But it does mean you should know some of the warning signs of a cheating woman.

Below is a list of nine behaviors common to women who are cheating. If any of these signs are pointing towards a cheater, you might consider seeking additional tips here: How to Catch a Cheating Spouse

So where is the line between being smart and being paranoid? I wouldn’t get paranoid if one of these pops up in your marriage. If several of them begin to happen all at once, then I would start to get concerned.

1. A New Wardrobe.

If your wife or girlfriend starts to dress differently, this is a sign she’s dressing for another man. Of course, women like new clothes. So don’t get crazy if she continues her normal shopping patterns. But if you notice she’s bought a whole bunch of new lingerie, you could have a problem.

2. A New Exercise Regimen

This one is closely connected to the wardrobe issue. She wants to look nice for someone. And since she hasn’t exactly been trying to impress you lately, it might be someone else.

If your woman starts a new exercise plan, or becomes more dedicated to the old routine, then she may have hidden motivations for doing so. Of course, if spring has just hit and she’s trying to take off those extra ten pounds, that’s an entirely different matter. But a new exercise program in the middle of a season could be trouble, especially if it coincides with sexy new clothes and undies.

3. Secret Phone Calls

If you see your wife trying to avoid being overheard on the phone, this is a sign she doesn’t want you to know something. Now, when I talk on the phone, I don’t like being in a room with someone else. For one thing, it seems rude for me to be talking over whatever they are doing. Second, I get distracted trying to have two discussions at once.

But if your wife has been happy for years to talk away while you watch t.v., but suddenly decides you need peace and quite, this is a sign that she doesn’t want you to hear what she’s talking about.

4. Hidden Bills

If your wife is hiding her credit card bills, this is a bad sign. Okay, this might just mean she’s been charging up the credit card and doesn’t want you to know about the debt she’s running up.

It could also mean that she doesn’t want you to know about the hotel rental bills and the trips to Victoria’s Secret. An elicit love affair is going to call for a few odd expenditures, the kind of thing a wife with a guilty conscience doesn’t want her husband seeing.

5. Is Aloof and Uncommunicative

If she suddenly seems aloof, then she might have other things on her mind. Relationships are built around good communication. More than men, women need a partner who talks to them. So if the two of you aren’t talking, that’s a problem even in a faithful relationship.

Your wife may have complained about you communicating with her in the past. If she suddenly seems to lose interest in talk, this means she’s given up on you. It could also mean she has found someone with whom to talk.

6. Seems Preoccupied

If your significant other doesn’t seem interested in you and the children, she might have her mind on her new relationship outside of the family. She might be marking time until she can escape to her love affair. So if all your wife or girlfriend wants to do is watch television, this might be a sign she’s passing the hours until her next escape.

7. Stays Away From Home More Often

If your woman stays at work or school late, that’s a bad sign. Business trips and sudden changes of plan are suspicious, too. She needs time to have an affair, and unless your schedule is unusually open, this is going to show up somewhere.

8. Mood Swings

Because women actually have a conscious unlike men, Feelings of guilt will show up in strange ways. She might suddenly be much more affectionate than she has been, so much so that it seems artificial. This is her trying to cope with guilt feelings.

At other times, if she appears to be picking fights with you, this is another way of coping with guilt. She needs justification for cheating, so she will pick fights that allow her to look at you as the bad guy.

If both of these appear at once, then these mood swings are a good indication that something is going on.

9. Stories About Their Guy Friend

Have you ever had your wife talk constantly about some guy friend of hers at work or school? If you’re in a healthy relationship, it probably doesn’t mean anything. But if the two of your haven’t been communicating well lately, this other man is probably filling a need for her. That might turn into an extramarital affair.

Now, if suddenly your woman stops talking about this same man, you need to find out why. This might indicate a falling out with this guy. If not, it might indicate her friendship has turned into something else. This sudden lack of disclosure could mean a guilty conscience, or a fear you or someone else will be able to guess what’s really going. She doesn’t want that guy’s name brought up in the conversation.

Teargas Live at TUKS RAG Part 1

The weekend`s PSL previews

SATURDAY

Bidvest Wits v Black Aces - Bidvest Stadium (KO 15:30)

Roger de Sa's side have blasted their way up the table thanks to a three-match winning streak, which makes them the hot favourites to dispose of the league's bottom club. In team news, the Clever Boys welcome Derrick Spencer back from a ban but Thando Mngomeni and Sipho Mngomezulu are unavailable because they have totted up three yellow cards apiece.

Paul Dolezar is without the services of Lindo Mbatha (injury) and Benedict Vilakazi (suspension), while Marawaan Bantam, Shakes Ngwenya and TK Masondo are in contention after resuming training. Fabian McCarthy and Thabang Rooi also return from respective bans and Gordon Gilbert could come into the fold after joining the club in midweek.

Free State Stars v Mamelodi Sundowns - Peter Mokaba Stadium (KO 15:30)

Steve Komphela's charges will call Polokwane home this weekend as they face title contenders Mamelodi Sundowns. Ea Lla Koto are boosted by the availability of Ayanda Gcaba and Siyabonga Mdluli but they will nonetheless be wary of facing an unpredictable Brazilians outfit.

Their caretaker boss, Ian Gorowa, has the thankless task of maintaining the club's fading challenge for the championship, but he received a fillip in midweek when Katlego Mphela ended his self-imposed exile and returned to training. However, the form of Nyasha Mushekwi and Mabhuti Khenyeza means the South African striker is far from assured of a starting berth, although he has been included in the 18-man matchday squad. In other news from Chloorkop, Lebohang Mokoena is out with a serious hamstring injury that is likely to leave him sidelined for six weeks.

Platinum Stars v Bloem Celtic - Moruleng Stadium (KO 15:30)

Midtable Dikwena are stalemate specialists having drawn nine of their 20 fixtures this season. Bloem Celtic - fifth in the league - have played to eight draws, so the bookmakers are likely to favour a deadlock in this encounter.

For Stars, Edward Williams and Almiro Lobo are available while Phunya Sele Sele can call upon Thabo Hlela, who returns following suspension.

Henrico Botes, Mbhuyiselo Sambu and Solomon Mathe are serving one-match bans.

SuperSport United v Maritzburg Utd (KO 18:00)

SuperSport United and Maritzburg United are desperate for maximum points as the threat of relegation looms large for both parties.

Matsatsantsa are a position above the visitors to Loftus Stadium in 13th spot - a stark contrast from the past three seasons where they have been the PSL pacesetters.

Tebogo Langerman is expected to miss the clash through injury, but Kermit Erasmus has returned to training following a respiratory tract infection.

Glen Salmon is also back in training following a lengthy lay-off, but the fixture comes too soon for him.

The Team of Choice have no reported absentees.

Vasco Da Gama v Ajax Cape Town (KO 20:15)

Vasco da Gama want to build on a 1-0 victory over Mpumalanga Black Aces when they tussle with Ajax in the Cape derby.

The PSL rookies were hit for six by BidVest Wits before claiming a win over Paul Dolezar's men - and want to make sure they continue picking up maximum points.

The Urban Warriors will want to make it two derby wins out of two after an epic 4-3 triumph over Santos, despite going down 10 men.

Thulani Hlatshwayo will be suspended for test with Vasco, but captain Brett Evans could feature off the bench after recovering from injury.

Vasco have Dirang Moloi suspended for this encounter.

SUNDAY

Orlando Pirates v AmaZulu (KO 15:30)

Orlando Pirates will expect to increase their lead at the PSL summit when AmaZulu make the trip to Soweto on Sunday.

Bucs are two points clear at the top of the table and with second-placed Kaizer Chiefs up next on the menu, Ruud Krol's men are determined to walk away with all three points.

They boys have Parktown have a number of concerns though. Tlou Segolela begins a two-match suspension, while Mark Mayambela is sidelined with a knee injury.

Midfield maestro Andile Jali will be handed a late fitness test to determine whether he has recovered from a hamstring strain.

AmaZulu, meanwhile are boosted by the return of their lethal strike duo Lehlehonolo Majoro and Tangeni Shipahu. who sat out the last game against Platinum Stars a fortnight ago due to suspension

Midfielder Thabo Mabaso has been released from his contract with Usuthu.

Santos v Kaizer Chiefs (KO 15:30)

Santos will once again aim to get the better of Kaizer Chiefs ahead of a Soweto derby when the sides meet at Athlone Stadium.

Before securing a 3-1 victory over their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates last year, Amakhosi suffered a 1-0 defeat to the People's Team.

And with Chiefs facing Bucs again next week, Boebie Solomons will be hoping the black and gold once again have a massive lapse in concentration.

Santos not managed to win in the last four games, which has included three straight losses. Tyren Arendse is the only absentee for the hosts through suspension.

Amakhosi are without Mthkozisi Yende and Dominic Isaacs due to a one-match ban for totting up yellow cards, but Knowledge Musona returns from serving the same sentence.

Chiefs are just two points away from Pirates at the PSL summit and will want to keep the pressure on their foes.

THE 10 SIDE CHICK COMMANDMENTS . . .. IF YOU'RE A SIDE CHICK . . . ARE YOU ABIDING BY THE RULES????

I. Thou shalt not put any other partners before me.
Yes, I understand that it’s hypocritical for someone in a relationship to ask their side person to remain faithful, but you knew what you were walking into when you signed up for this. They just need you to stand by them while I “work things out” with their main squeeze. Just a few more years and they’ll be all yours… yeah, right.

II.Thou shalt not keep any images or video footage of us together—ever.
The key to keeping this thing going is no evidence, so there will be no pictures taken or sex tapes recorded. Denying everything only works when there’s no proof. Plus, in the event that things go south your jump-off should not have anything that he or she can black mail you with later.

III. Thou shalt not use the L-word in vain.
This rule is so underrated, but if you follow it things will be less complicated. Do not under any circumstances tell your jump-off you love them unless you really mean it. If said under false pretenses you’re just leaving yourself open for a world of hurt when the truth comes out.

IV. Remember the special days and stay in your place.
When someone’s in a real relationship—you know, one with a real title like BF/GF or husband/wife—there are certain commitments that need to be maintained, like anniversaries, holidays and Valentine’s Day. Listen closely, those days are not for you so don’t call, don’t text, don’t email and definitely don’t start no drama, just stay in your lane and wait until the coast is clear.

V. Thou shalt not meet my father and mother.
Besides, meeting mom and dad is way too personal, especially if they know about your main squeeze. You don’t need your parents asking too many questions or accidentally slipping up and leaking information. When it comes to friends, you’re bestie can be your confidante but as a rule the less people that know about your side chick/dude the better.

VI. Thou shalt not kill.
No, seriously, that’s not cool. Don’t ever go all psycho and try to pull out knives and guns because you can’t have the person all to yourself. Physical violence (against yourself or others) only makes things worse, so control your anger issues and understand that we all can’t have what we want when we want it.

VI. Thou shalt not stalk.
Not only is it annoying, it’s not at all attractive. Nothing turns off someone’s sexiness factor quicker than being desperate or a bug-a-boo. With that said don’t ever pop up unannounced and definitely don’t try to be social media friends or follow each other on Twitter. The only communication side chicks/dudes get is direct contact, everything else leaves a paper trail and/or invades the other person’s personal space.

VIII. Thou shalt not steal.
In the event that someone is sloppy enough to bring their jump-off into their home, it’s with the understanding that he/she will not take any souvenirs with them. The same goes for a hotel/motel excursion also, in that going through someone’s purse/wallet while they’re in the shower is a major violation. This works in the reverse as well in that a jump-off should not leave behind any clues of their presence (i.e. panties/boxers, hair, condoms/pads in trash, etc.).

IX. Thou shalt not lie on me or to me.
Living a double life is hard enough but to have the one person you’ve been real with from the beginning turn their back on you hurts. While the main squeeze was in the dark about the other relationship, the side chick/dude knew what was up from jump. Sure, it’s a difficult situation to be in once emotions get involved (and they always do eventually) but making stuff up is uncalled for, especially if it involves the police or child protective services.

X. Thou shalt not covet the main squeeze or what he/she has.
Don’t worry about what the main squeeze is doing or getting, because that has nothing to do with you. Just enjoy what little time you can get with your boo while he/she isn’t with the person they’re actually committed to. Of course their gift was bigger and better and they get all the holidays, because they the priority while you’re just a side chick/dude—deal with it.

THE ANC DISMISSES WITH CONTEMPT THE PREDICTIONS OF MOELETSI MBEKI

THE ANC DISMISSES WITH CONTEMPT THE PREDICTIONS OF MOELETSI MBEKI:

18 February 2011

In a manner similar to those 20th century Prophets of Doom who predicted that the world will come to an end in the year 2000, Moeletsi Mbeki has written an ar...ticle predicting that Tunisia-like protests will happen in South Africa in 2020 to topple the ANC government. The ANC Youth League dismisses this prophecy of doom with the contempt it deserves because it is not only untrue, but one of the most bizarre predictions to ever happen. This prophecy of doom is also a worrying trend by Moeletsi Mbeki who is very pessimistic and consistently negative about the progress made by the African National Congress government, particularly since the departure of his brother as President of South Africa. Moeletsi Mbeki consistently writes sensational and alarmist observations about the democratic government of the ANC, and like all prophets of doom, he will be the one who will be doomed, not the African National Congress.

The Tunisia-like protests will not happen in South Africa, because the ANC government has made profound progress in placing institutions, structures and virtues of democracy, which allow the people of South Africa to freely and fairly choose public representatives after every five years. Besides entrenched democracy in South Africa, the ANC government is at the forefront of the attack in the battle against poverty, unemployment and starvation. The ANC government has since 1994 provided basic services to the people of South Africa, including water, electricity, sanitation, houses, roads, access to free education, healthcare, safety and security and many other basic social services needed for sustainable livelihoods.

For Moeletsi Mbeki to suggest that the people of South Africa will revolt to topple the ANC government is day-dreaming inspired by his hatred of the African National Congress. we all agree that the biggest challenge confronting South African society currently is joblessness, which the ANC government said should be tackled as a matter of urgency. The ANC government acknowledges the need and urgency of job creation and will dedicate everything it does to create many jobs for the unemployed population. The central political question which the 2012 National Conference of the ANC will tackle will be the increased role of the State in the ownership and control of strategic sectors of the economy, in particular the natural resources supply sectors such as mining and land. If there will be any revolt in South Africa, it will not be against the ANC government, but against white monopoly capitalists who continue to extract our resources, massively profit, whilst our people remain without jobs and living in poverty.

Those who live in different planets, like Moeletsi Mbeki do not appreciate the massive progress made by the ANC government, nor appreciate its genuine programmes to mobilise the whole of society behind the noble objective of jobs for all who need jobs. South Africa’s democratic foundation is rooted on the blood of martyrs of our revolution and will never be shaken.

Ne-Yo Pleads For Autotune's Death

Hit R&B singer Ne-Yo recently spoke about the popular voice-changing machine slash software auto-tune and why its rise in popularity among artists hurts the industry more than it helps. Ne-Yo says auto-tune should only be used to assist in creation not taken full advantage of.

"Auto-tune was meant to be a safety net," Ne-Yo explained in an interview. "It was not supposed to be wings. You're not supposed to strap it on your back and jump off the building. That's not what auto-tune was meant to be. If you're using it for what it's meant for, cool, fine, and good -- not, 'I can't sing at all, so let's turn auto-tune all the way up so I just sound like Willy the Robot.' That wack! That's terrible! It takes all the character out of your voice and you become a robot --Take the d*mn training wheels off. That's how I feel about it." (Amaru Don TV)

Flavor Flav To Earn High School Diploma For New Reality Show!?

Flavor Flav is pitching a new reality show that will follow him earning his high school diploma in the same Iowa town where he opened his chicken joint. I guess umpteen seasons of "Flavor of Love" just weren't enough.

Mr. Flav recently pitched his idea for "Flavor Flav Goes Back to High School" to the local school superintendent and a school board member in Clinton, Iowa. He says he'll approach the full board in a couple of weeks. I would pay to see that presentation.
Flav, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., grew up in Freeport, New York but dropped out of school in 10th grade.
Getting your diploma will be a good thing Flav. Even if the show falls through, you should do it anyway. It'll be for the best....

50 Angered With Dre and Jimmy Iovine

50 Cent is one of the most outspoken rappers in the fame thats for sure. The rapper took to his twitter, tweeting "Jimmy iovine and dre mad at me cause I'm doing sleek by 50." Maybe the two are upset about the whole headphone competition maybe its something more. G-Unit records moved from Interscope last year to EMI. 50 even referenced he was cooking up some diss track referring to Dre and Interscope's, Jimmy Iovine. Uh-oh Eminem damage control asap.

Ciara Talks Label Issue

Ciara took to her facebook page probably because she couldn't fit what she had to say in 140 characters on twitter. The female MC addressed her past work and current label issues. Heres what she had to say.

To my fans:

This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, its at that point where I feel we don’t share the same views on who I am as a artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio pds tell me my label didn’t want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them. You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to my you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I’m dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! I’ve tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed.. And was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album..I have so much of me as a artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as a artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all.

Drake Talks Not Doing Weezy's New Tour

Drake recently spoke about not being a part of Lil Wayne's "I Am Music II" tour, despite fellow Young Money artist Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross co-headlining the shows. With rumors of problems between Lil Wayne and Drake, the Young-Money artist says he simply needed a break from touring.

Regardless of his plans for a romantic holiday, Drake said that he's focused on his love for the music and probably won't be added to Lil Wayne's all-star I Am Music II Tour. "I've been touring since last March so I'm just going to take time and make my album," he explained. However, the MC said that fans can expect him to make some surprise appearances on the 24-city trek. "But there's always those nights where you get that itch to go and join those legends like Nicki and Wayne and Ross onstage, so you'll see me out there, but I'm just trying to take care of the people," he confessed. Eminem's Grammy Night: Why Didn't He Win Any Major Awards?

While the rap star was the night's most-nominated artist, he lost out on Album, Song and Record of the Year.

Eminem entered the 53rd annual Grammy Awards as the overwhelming favorite to take home the most hardware with 10 nominations, including the most grandiose of them all: Album of the Year.

The Detroit rapper notched a couple of wins on Sunday night, with his Recovery besting Drake and Jay-Z for Best Rap Album and his chart-topping hit "Not Afraid" earning Best Rap Solo Performance. Yet when it came to the major awards, the rapper was shut out.

So how, exactly — after rebounding from the most critically disappointing album in his career (2009's Relapse, which still won Best Rap Album in 2010) with the commercially successful Recovery and its two #1 singles ("Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie") — did Eminem walk away without Album, Song or Record of the Year?

"Recovery is a dark and grueling record that doesn't always click musically. It's easier to admire than listen to, at times," Spin Music Editor Charles Aaron told MTV News. "The high points are spectacular, but there's a lot of sketchiness. Also, the Grammy voters skew old and white and have a problem acknowledging hip-hop."

As Aaron points out that in the past decade, rappers like Lil Wayne and Eminem lost out on the top prize to veteran rock acts like Robert Plant and Alison Krauss and Steely Dan, respectively. The project had all the ingredients to win big: a comeback story, big sales, chart-toppers, etc. But compared to past hip-hop albums that took home Album of the Year (Lauryn Hill's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below), Recovery might have been "too hip-hop," according to Vibe Editor in Chief Jermaine Hall. Those efforts stretched the boundaries of rap music in a way that satiates Grammy voters.

"Outkast winning Album of the Year makes more sense for them, because it lives in several genres," Hall explained.

Still, at this point in his career, a mellowed Eminem has risen to veteran status, and after a career as the wild card, he's firmly an establishment star now, from his appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman" to sold-out stadium shows with Jay-Z.

But in terms of hip-hop on the main stage, there's still a ways to go.

"It's an uphill battle for a hip-hop album to win Album of the Year," Rolling Stone senior writer Brian Hiatt explained. "It was a really strong comeback, but I think there's still a resistance to Eminem specifically and maybe, to a certain extent, hip-hop in general in the overall voting group in the academy."

Despite going home without the big prize, Hiatt suggested that Eminem focus on what his loss might actually represent, which is a sort of coronation of his comeback. The rapper was nominated, an obvious nod of respect, but perhaps his being shunned was recognition in and of itself.

"In a way, Eminem should treasure the fact that he didn't win, which means he's still dangerous," Hiatt said.

Justin Bieber May Have Lost At The Grammys, But He'll Be Back: The MTV News Quote Of The Day

"I had no clue what was going to happen; I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I'm not going to lie — I was disappointed. But, you know, I'm gonna come back [next year] and we'll take a few home."

Canadian singing sensation and newly-minted film star Justin Bieber, commenting on his loss in the Best New Artist category at Sunday night's (February 13) 53rd Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 16-year-old singer faced stiff competition for Best New Artist from the likes of Drake, Mumford & Sons and Florence and the Machine, but many expected that Bieber would be walking away with the hardware. In the end, he lost out to winner Esperanza Spalding, a bassist who has been making an impact in the jazz world for years and who was a relative unknown among pop fans.

Still, just because he failed to walk out with an award doesn't mean that the night was a bust. Bieber's performance (with an assist from Usher and Jayden Smith) was one of the most talked-about of the evening, and the singer himself felt extremely good about the work he put forth on stage. "I got a standing O, which was amazing," he told MTV News' Sway backstage after the show had wrapped. "Usher and Jayden did incredible, and I'm really excited. Tonight was an amazing night."

And because he's already a pro, Bieber went out of his way to pay his respects to Spalding after the show, and let his fans know that it wasn't the end of the world. "Bieber fans, don't get too upset," he laughed. "Be happy."

Woman Dies Over Booty Injections

In other unfortunate news, a 20 year old aspiring hip hop star from the United Kingdom died this week, hours after receiving some illegal butt implants in a Philadelphia hotel room.
Claudia Aderotimi, a student at Thames Valley University traveled to Philadelphia after her cousin helped arrange her operation online in the shabby hotel room. She travelled to Philadelphia with three friends last Saturday to have silicone injections put in her butt on Monday. According to the UK paper, the Daily Mail Reporter, shortly after, Claudia suffered chest pains and breathing problems and was rushed to the hospital. She died in the hospital from a liver failure just hours after the operation had be performed.
Surprisingly, this was not Claudia's first time receiving these injections. Although she vowed never to do it again due to the pain she suffered the first time, she apparently changed her mind. Despite the pain, she believe achieveing her "quest for a bigger booty" would help her land more hip hop music videos. The doctor responsible for Claudia's death has not yet been arrested but is said to be a transgendered hip hop singer.

Platinum Stars v Kaizer Chiefs - Royal Bafokeng Stadium (KO @ 15:30)

Kaizer Chiefs will trek to the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the North West to take on Platinum Stars on Sunday in a bid to restore their running in the Absa Premiership title – after cable thieves disrupted Amakhosi’s match against Moroka Swallows at the FNB stadium. The postponement might result in disrupting Chiefs’ momentum in the league – but skipper Jimmy Tau says the Stars match will tell if the weekend off was of any benefit to the team.“It may turn out to have been bad for us because we might have lost our rhythm, but then again, the breather may have been ideal for players to recharge,” said Tau.

Midtable Dinaledi have the difficult task of facing a championship challenger in one of Sunday's two fixtures. Owen da Gama's mission isn't made any easier by the fact that Edward Williams and Almiro Lobo are suspended.

Vladimir Vermezovic will be pleased that Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Itumeleng Khune emerged unscathed from Bafana Bafana's 2-0 win over Kenya and the trio should all be available along with Kaizer Motaung Junior, who has finally overcome a groin problem that he picked up in mid-January.

Grobler: We can beat Chiefs

Platinum Stars forward Bradley Grobler believes his side has what it takes to beat Kaizer Chiefs this weekend.

With Amakhosi gunning for the title this season, Stars would do well to grab the three points - something Grobler is sure they can do at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

"We are all excited to be playing against one of the big teams," Grobler told The Sowetan.

"We are not going to be intimidated at all and we have seen over the years that in this league, anything is possible.

"We truly believe we can beat Chiefs because they are not unbeatable.

"Chiefs are a good side and we know it won't be easy but we'll give it our best."
(football365.co.za)
In Bradley Grobler, the first Stars player to notch up a hattrick in the PSL, Da Gama has a reliable goal getter.

Form guide:

Stars: W-L-D-W-L

Chiefs: L-W-D-W-W

Key players:

Stars: Bradley Grobler, Mbulelo Mabizela

Chiefs: Reneilwe Letsholonyane , Itu Khune, Simphiwe Tshabalala

NBA’s Top Ten Players in the League heading to All Star Weekend

Here’s my list. Enjoy!

10. Derrick Rose, PG, Bulls

If it weren’t for Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls wouldn’t have been among the East’s elite right now. Rose has got a lot on his back with a strong winning-record and right now the number-one MVP-choice currently from many. He is averaging 24.4 points and eight assists, even without key big man Joakim Noah.

9. Chris Paul, PG, Hornets

Chris Paul has been playing solid for the New Orleans Hornets and is the only reason the team is still in the city. He is averaging 16.5 points, about ten assists, and four rebounds for them. Paul is the only reason this team is in the playoff hunt and is rolling over many teams. Paul is simply just amazing, that’s it.

8. Amare Stoudemire, PF, Knicks

Amare Stoudemire is simply awesome this season. He has proven that he can play great without a solid point guard like he has had for his whole career with Steve Nash. But with the Knicks, Stoudemire is the man. He is rolling and is in the MVP race, averaging about 26 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game. What a player.

7. Deron Williams, PG, Jazz

Deron Williams is the only reason the Utah Jazz have been so awesome and getting upset victories over the top teams throughout the season. He is easily the best point guard in the league. He is having by far the best season of his career, already averaging a career-high of about 22 points, ten assists, and four rebounds.

6. Carmelo Anthony, SF, Nuggets

Carmelo Anthony is a solid player. He has been leading the Denver Nuggets basically all by himself for most of his career, and can’t find success. As Chauncey Billups came, the Nuggets made it to the Western Conference Finals, but fell to the Los Angeles Lakers. That is the closest they have ever came and that’s it. Anthony wants to move. He is still playing pretty well, averaging 25 points, about eight rebounds, and three assists.

5. Dwight Howard, C, Magic

Dwight Howard is just awesome, isn’t he? Howard has been doing awesome with the Magic, averaging 22.4 points and about 14 rebounds per game. He also 2.2 blocks per game to go along with it. He’s done awesome for the Magic, and was just short of giving the their first ring. But they are still questions remaining if he can be a true superstar and lead the team all by himself.

4. Kevin Durant, SF, Thunder

And that is where Kevin Durant comes in. Durant can lead a team by himself to a championship. Look at what he did in the FIBA Worlds, leading them and breaking all the records. Durant was the scoring leader last season, the youngest ever to do it. Now in his third season, he is still ballin’, averaging about 29 points per game — leading the league — and about seven rebounds with about three assists.

3. Dwyane Wade, SG, Heat

Dwyane Wade, in my opinion, is the closest thing to Michael Jordan. He can put up those giant numbers and play like him more than LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. Many experts agree. Wade has now got help and can get more than one ring. With Chris Bosh and LeBron James, Wade can really put more damage now. He is currently averaging 25.2 points, about seven rebounds, and 4.4 assists.

2. LeBron James, SF, Heat

LeBron James has the potential to become the best player to ever play in the NBA. He can play any position. He can play point guard, wing, and big. He’s done all of those positions in his career. He is the most athletic player, being an All-Star football player as well in high school. Many talk about that if he still played football, he could be one of the more dominant receivers or tight ends in the league. The funny thing is that he hasn’t hit his prime. At 26, he’s in the prime age now and entering it strong. James is currently averaging 26 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. If he takes huge advantage of his prime, he can be the best player ever, hands down. And once the next guy on this list starts slowing down, since he is aging, James will be noted as the best player then.

1. Kobe Bryant, SG, Lakers

Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba. Simply just amazing. Just look up his resume and you can see why he is continuously compared to Michael Jordan. Bryant is a killer on the court and is just — wow. Even at his old age, he is still balling hard; averaging 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and about five assists.

So that is my list. Agree, disagree? What’s your opinion?
