Platinum Stars v Kaizer Chiefs - Royal Bafokeng Stadium (KO @ 15:30)

Kaizer Chiefs will trek to the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in the North West to take on Platinum Stars on Sunday in a bid to restore their running in the Absa Premiership title – after cable thieves disrupted Amakhosi’s match against Moroka Swallows at the FNB stadium. The postponement might result in disrupting Chiefs’ momentum in the league – but skipper Jimmy Tau says the Stars match will tell if the weekend off was of any benefit to the team.“It may turn out to have been bad for us because we might have lost our rhythm, but then again, the breather may have been ideal for players to recharge,” said Tau.

Midtable Dinaledi have the difficult task of facing a championship challenger in one of Sunday's two fixtures. Owen da Gama's mission isn't made any easier by the fact that Edward Williams and Almiro Lobo are suspended.

Vladimir Vermezovic will be pleased that Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Itumeleng Khune emerged unscathed from Bafana Bafana's 2-0 win over Kenya and the trio should all be available along with Kaizer Motaung Junior, who has finally overcome a groin problem that he picked up in mid-January.

Grobler: We can beat Chiefs

Platinum Stars forward Bradley Grobler believes his side has what it takes to beat Kaizer Chiefs this weekend.

With Amakhosi gunning for the title this season, Stars would do well to grab the three points - something Grobler is sure they can do at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

"We are all excited to be playing against one of the big teams," Grobler told The Sowetan.

"We are not going to be intimidated at all and we have seen over the years that in this league, anything is possible.

"We truly believe we can beat Chiefs because they are not unbeatable.

"Chiefs are a good side and we know it won't be easy but we'll give it our best."

In Bradley Grobler, the first Stars player to notch up a hattrick in the PSL, Da Gama has a reliable goal getter.
